Civic engagement through artistic expression
Through her Expressive Arts studies that include dance therapy and TouchDrawing™ she has developed movement workshops using techniques and approaches that are accessible to all ages and abilities in various environments. She leads workshops on arts integration in standards based education, and arts approaches for classroom teachers, and administrators.
As a dance specialist her program focuses on individual expression, body awareness, beginning and advanced levels of dance technique and the role of dance in cultures throughout the world.
As an Artist in Healthcare she has adapted dance techniques for cancer patients, children in hospitals and eating disorder units.
As a dance educator in private and public education she has developed dance curriculum for K-12th, pre-college, college and teacher education programs.
